The men and women who risked their lives to defend our country shouldn’t have to risk losing their constitutional rights when they access life-saving mental health treatment. |
But for years, government bureaucrats have abused the unconstitutional “fiduciary rule” to arbitrarily report veterans to the NICS background check database. |
As a result, more than 250,000 veterans have been deprived of their Second Amendment rights and can no longer access or possess a firearm – all without having committed any crime, without the constitutional due process necessary for the deprivation of a right, and sometimes without knowing or consenting to it. |
It wouldn’t be surprising if either you or someone related to you has spent time serving in the military. But the Biden administration is hellbent on disarming those who served our nation honorably. |
Thankfully, Chairman of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee Mike Bost introduced Amendment #35 to a VA appropriations bill (H.R. 4366) that would prohibit the VA from arbitrarily transmitting veterans’ information to the NICS. |
Now, we need YOU to contact your Representative and tell them to disarm the Biden Administration instead of America’s veterans by passing the Bost Amendment. |

It goes without saying that our veterans deserve the best medical care America can offer them. |
That includes treatment for psychological consequences related to their service. |
There shouldn’t be ANY barriers deterring veterans from seeking the life-saving medical care they need… |
…which is exactly why it’s so urgent for Congress to stop VA bureaucrats from unilaterally turning veterans into persons prohibited from possessing firearms. |
It all starts when a VA bureaucrat decides to require a fiduciary to administer benefit payments. It ends with many of these veterans’ names being submitted to the NICS background check system. |
Sadly, that information is then used to disarm them as if they had been “adjudicated as a mental defective” by a court and prohibited from possessing a firearm under federal law. |
Except these men and women never had the chance to defend themselves. |
The Bost Amendment would prohibit the VA from transmitting information to the NICS solely on the basis that a veteran has an appointed fiduciary to manage their benefits unless there is an order or finding from an actual judicial authority that such a veteran is a danger to themselves or others. |
In other words, it would ensure that a veteran cannot be disarmed without due process. |
This shouldn’t be controversial… |
But with anti-gunners already rallying in opposition to Chairman Bost’s amendment, we’re counting on grassroots gun owners like YOU to speak up in defense of America’s veterans. |
